What do we mean by Safe Spaces?

Theatre Prospero is committed to providing a safe, inviting, and inclusive atmosphere for our artists, arts workers, audience members, and residency/workshop participants.

We work around the clock to ensure our spaces are safe for everyone. But we are always trying to do better!

This page gives an opportunity for you to learn about our commitment to the 35//50 Initiative, to read our Code of Conduct, or to Report an Incident.

Theatre Prospero is proud to publicly support and commit to the 35//50 Initiative. We would like to thank the Co-Contributors of the Initiative for including us in this important call to action.

Theatre Prospero joins performing arts companies from across the province in a collective commitment to ensuring that our diverse community landscape is represented by those we engage both on and off our stages.

Theatre Prospero will put in place actionable and measurable steps to ensure that our organization is made up of a minimum 35% IBPoC (Indigenous, Black, People of Colour) and 50% Women and Non-Binary People by our 2024/25 Season.

Theatre Prospero commits to fulfilling this necessary industry-standard. Theatre Prospero has and will forever continue to uphold the belief that IBPOC Lives  and Art Matter. Learn more about the 35//50 Initiative's Call to Action:
