Since 2001 we have created many productions of Shakespeare’s plays, and toured them extensively all over Alberta.
We have also developed and produced new Canadian Mythic and Poetic work since 2006, when we developed and produced Jennifer Spencer’s Maggie-Now Part 1, a play which grew out of Spencer’s work at Grant MacEwan. By 2014 Maggie-Now grew into a series of Immigrant family epics, with critical and audience acclaim. In 2014 we co-produced the series with Workshop West Theatre as a 6-hour, 10-actor, 72-character trilogy at the Transalta Arts Barns.
In 2008-2010 we developed and produced Edmonton Poet Jannie Edwards' Blood Opera: The Raven Tango Poems, a minimalist three-performer Tango Poetry Cabaret.
In 2015 and 2016 we co-produced workshop productions of Jessy Ardern’s Fall of the House of Atreus: A Cowboy Love Story and Prophecy.
We developed and co-produced (with Akpik Theatre) Reneltta Arluk’s Pawâkan Macbeth, a Cree-culture tragedy with 11 Indigenous actors in 2017.
In 2019 we toured Josh Languedoc’s Rocko and Nakota: Tales From the Land. Since 2017 we have been working with Tololwa Mollel to foster, develop, and produce Anthem of Life, a trilogy of plays adapted from a Zulu Epic. Also in development are Jennifer Spencer’s Enchanted Antlers and Tololwa Mollel’s New Stories From Old African Tales.
